Girls' Day at DEUTZ AG

  • Schoolgirls visit DEUTZ to find out about careers in technical occupations
  • DEUTZ wants to encourage the next generation of female engineers

As part of this year's nationwide Girls' Day initiative, DEUTZ AG is once again inviting young women to its training centre to spark their interest in engineering careers. On 26 April 2018, schoolgirls interested in engineering will, with the help of the Company's instructors and apprentices, discover the multitude of technical occupations offered at DEUTZ.

For the young women, this is an opportunity to find out about vocations that they may otherwise rarely come across in the careers guidance process. As well as an introduction to the various occupations in which training is provided at DEUTZ and a presentation about the Company and its wide-ranging product portfolio, the schoolgirls will look round a mobile information centre organised by the employers' associations to learn about the career options available in the metalworking and electrical engineering industry.

DEUTZ is passionate about encouraging a new generation of young women to enter the engineering sector, which is why it has been playing an active part in Girls' Day for many years. Dr Frank Hiller, Chairman of the DEUTZ Board of Management, is encouraging young women to opt for an apprenticeship in the metalworking and electrical engineering industry: "We know how important it is to encourage young women into the engineering sector. That is why we are offering schoolgirls the chance to visit our Company so that they can experience for themselves the exciting range of careers on offer."
