DEUTZ welcomes 40 new apprentices

  • 30 new apprentices at the Cologne site
  • New IT apprenticeship launched
  • New apprentices also starting in Ulm and Herschbach

A new intake of apprentices have embarked on their careers at DEUTZ AG, with the Company welcoming 30 young women and men to the site in Cologne.

During the induction event, Dr Andreas Strecker, member of the DEUTZ Board of Management, wished the young people good luck for their first day of work. “You too are now part of the new momentum in our Company – you are our young talent of tomorrow,” said Dr Strecker, who is responsible for Finance, Human Resources, Purchasing and Information Services. “We endeavour to provide you with the best environment for a successful apprenticeship, and I wish you all good luck on this special day and throughout your period of training.”

During the induction days, which are run by second-year apprentices, the new trainees are prepared for their apprenticeships and introduced to the various activity areas and business divisions.

DEUTZ also welcomed new apprentices at its sites in Ulm and Herschbach today. Eight young women and men started their apprenticeships in Ulm, and two young people will receive training for a technical/engineering career at the components plant in Herschbach.

This year sees the launch of the first IT apprenticeship at DEUTZ. It focuses on systems integration and application development, and expands the Company’s training portfolio in the digital field.
